Imagine having a normal sunday afternoon only to realize some one you love has been dead on the couch while you enjoy that afternoon...
Thats what happened to me two sundays ago...

I don't want to go into detail about it, suffice to say its not easy, but then death never is.

Why?

Because in the bible at 1 Corinthians 15:26 it says death is the enemy.

Why is death so hard to accept?
At Ecclesastes 3:11 it says "Even time indefinite he has put in their heart"
We were meant to live forever and when that doesnt happen we are devastated...
But there is hope in the same scripture that states death is the enemy it gives hope of its complete and total destruction at the hands of our loving God whos name is Jehovah.

Jehovah promises that the dead will live again. Isaiah 26:19
They will be brought back to life. That is the hope of the resurrection.

We can learn important truths when we examine Resurrection Accounts in the bible.
For example at Ecclesiastes 9:5 we are told that the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.

The dead are in a sleep like state awaiting the promised resurrection by Jehovah.
I too await this day with great eagerness. To be able to hold my lost loved ones again.
So while I am sad, as Christ Jesus was when his friend Lazarus died, I have hope that some day soon I will see them again.
